During the discussion, the two sides exchanged views on chemical work safety management, implementation of enterprises’ primary responsibilities, formulation of emergency response plans, and development of the legal, regulatory, and standards systems. Wang Da, Deputy Secretary-General of the CCSA, introduced the development of China’s chemical industry and the association’s work in promoting safe industry development and helping enterprises improve work safety. Experts, drawing on typical accident cases at home and abroad, introduced China’s relevant practices in improving the work safety legal system and standards requirements, and answered participants’ questions one by one.

Participants in the workshop said that the exchange deepened their understanding of the development of China’s chemical industry and that the relevant safety management experience and practices were worth learning from for their own countries.

This discussion was a concrete practice of the association’s response to the Belt and Road Initiative and its efforts to promote people-to-people international exchanges. Using chemical safety exchange as a bridge, CCSA introduced China’s work safety development concepts and management models in the chemical industry to French-speaking African countries, playing a positive role in deepening exchanges and cooperation in the field of work safety between China and French-speaking African countries.
