The opening ceremony of the Third Advanced Training Course for Safety Directors and Reserved Talents of Chemical Companies was held at Tianjin University (Beiyangyuan Campus) on April 20^th . Lu Xu, the Second Division of Hazardous and Chemical Supervision of the Ministry of Emergency Management, Zhao Jinduo, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department of Tianjin University, and Hao Jun, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chemical Safety Association , attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

CCSA and Tianjin University have jointly organized two sessions of the Advanced Training Course for Safety Directors, and the teaching has been unanimously recognized by participants, some of whom have been promoted to higher management positions. The third advanced course will further enhance the course system, with theoretical courses mainly initiated by Tianjin University and practical courses presented by CCSA. Oriented to solving the safety management problems of chemical companies and aiming to cultivate senior chemical safety management talents with national sentiment, global vision, innovative spirit, and practical capability, the course sets up a targeted special curriculum based on the safety production characteristics of chemical companies and the needs of talent training.

Lasting for one and a half years, the course is taught in the form of online and offline lectures, seminars, and business study tours. Among them, 240 hours of online courses will be divided into elective and compulsory courses, and six face-to-face sessions will be organized. During the intensive training period, thematic seminars will be held to deepen understanding of the knowledge and address safety problems in practical work. Trainees’ performance in attendance, online course learning, class interaction, seminars, and online salons will serve as the basis for the final assessment. Participants in the course can obtain a certificate issued by Tianjin University through the final examination, and they can also choose a Functional Safety Engineer certificate, HAZOP leadership certificate, or in-house trainer competence certificate issued by CCSA based on their work.
