Spring breeze rises at the foot of Helan Mountain, and greenness returns to Yinchuan in the borderland. The advanced training course for excellent safety managers from companies in Ningdong Energy Chemical Industry Base started on April 14th. Yang Mingli, member of the party committee and deputy director of the Emergency Management Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Lu Nianming, secretary of the Party Committee, executive Deputy Director-General, and Secretary-General of the CCSA, Fan Xiaobin, dean of the School of Chemical Engineering of Tianjin University, and Ma Zhanrong, deputy secretary of the Party and Work Committee of Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base, attended the opening ceremony.

Jointly organized by CCSA and Tianjin University, the advanced course focuses on solving companies’ safety management issues. It has set up a highly targeted curriculum based on the safety production characteristics of companies in Ningdong Base and the practical needs of talent training.

The course lasts for one and a half years and is taught in the form of online and offline lectures, seminars, and business study tours. Among them, 240 hours of online courses are divided into elective and compulsory courses; seven face-to-face sessions are held, with five at Ningdong Base and two at Tianjin University.

Thematic seminars will be organized during offline training to promote knowledge absorption and address safety problems that trainees encounter in practical work. Trainees’ performance in class interactions, post-class assignments, problem seminars, training logs, and online salons will be recorded in the form of points as the basis for the final assessment.

Participants of the course can obtain a certificate jointly issued by Tianjin University and CCSA through the final examination. They can also choose a Functional Safety Engineer certificate, HAZOP leadership certificate, or in-house trainer competence certificate issued by CCSA based on their work.

The opening ceremony was attended by 40 trainees sent by SINOPEC Great Wall Energy Chemical (Ningxia) Co., Ltd., Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co., Ltd., Ningxia Best Pharmaceutical & Chemical Co., Ltd.
